L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte in 'Orange Power'

Reviewing today L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte in 'Orange Power'. Buying the right lipstick has always been my thing! At my recent visit to the L’Oreal counter, i came across the COLOR RICHE MOISTURE MATTE LIPSTICKS. I swatched about 5 or 6 colours and i wanted them all. They just have all the shade you want, such pretty colours you cant really resist. Nevertheless, after a a lot of thinking, i narrowed it down to 2 colours. 'Orange Power' being one of them! More about the second colour i bought in my next blog :)

Out of the colours, and trust me all were soooo pretty.. Why did i chose 'Orange Power'. Well by now, you all must know, that i have a fancy for good names and this one was named very aptly to its colour. Moreover, i don't have a lot of orange, i had to buy this one... this one was just the Orange i wanted!

About the Lipstick : Lipstick comes in a glossy rose gold case with a small square shaped button sort of thing - that indicates the lipstick shade, and which accurately matches the shade of the lipstick inside. So in case you have more than one lipstick from this range-its easy to sort them. It's an amazing soft Matte lipstick, doesn't pull or tug on application, glides smoothly. Perfect to what it claims - Moist on application but it takes a few minutes before it settles down to a matte finish.  It gives a dry feel in the beginning but in sometime it does settles well unlike other matte lipsticks. Pigmentation is great gives you great colour in a single swipe. It is a gorgeous bright, peachish orange. I just love the shade, perfect summer time shade -that brightens up your face and your raring to beat the heat. The lipstick stay on for a good 4-5 hours and leaves a light stain behind on your lips which looks nice. But make sure that your lips are not too dry, before you apply the lipstick- otherwise it will accentuate the dry flaky areas. 

2 to 3  coat gives you a dark orange shade as shown in the picture above

This very pretty colour,  is so going to be my summer favourite. Its very much wearable by any skin tone. Its a great colour for Summer, there is no shimmer, it doesn't have a glossy finish , its pure Velvet MATTE and its looks great! You can wear it with casuals or at party's, just Mix and Match well. Be confident and sure that you can carry off this colour because you can... If one is confident, one can carry off any colour!!

Tips : 

•  For a light peachish colour, apply one coat and blot with a tissue paper and you'll get a pretty peach.

• Two coats give you a good velvet matte orange colour, team it up with funky casuals and accessories to get a chic look.

Its a great colour for summers and its MATTE, you know how i love Matte Lipsticks, so i definitely recommend buying it! Kill the heat with the power of orange, and get your L'Oreal Color Riche Moist Matte in Orange Power :)

Colorbar DIVA Lipstick 'Dress to Impress' #003

Reviewing today Colorbar DIVA Lipstick 'Dress To impress'!!

Whenever i go to the Mall, i make it a point to stop at the Makeup section and check a few Lipsticks, hoping to find a new shade and i always do!! Soo i found this Lip colour from one of my days... Its an old shade but new for me because i recently found it!
While i kept swatching different colours to search for my perfect shade, i came across this colour that i liked  and when i happened to check it's name it was 'Dress To Impress' .... What do i tell you i probably liked it's name more than its colour.. and i was obliged to buy... As i very firmly believe that one must always 'Dress To Impress!!! :)

About the Lipstick : This lipstick is a glossy (no shimmer) Mauve Pink, very creamy/buttery and smooth. It glides well gives you very good coverage in one swipe. Since its buttery the pigmentation is good the texture is very smooth and it moisturises the lips giving it a slightly glossy finish. This colour will look great on all skin types, but i think it will look better on fairer skin tones as the colour seems to appear a little darker and shows more on the fair skinned. So when your going to a party and have a alot of accessories and want to keep the make up light you can opt for this colour, it will be a Hit!!

The lasting power is great... when i first tried this lipstick i wasn't very sure it would last very long since it was very smooth and wasn't really settling on the lips like the Matte lipsticks do, but i was surprised when this one lasted even after a meal. Of course there was fading, but the fading gave my lips a pretty natural pink colour, it had faded evenly and left my lips smooth and supple. It lasts for a good 5 hrs and more.

This colour is wearable during the day and night! You can wear this colour at office or at parties. Its a very nice glossy mauvish pink, i think it'll go well with formals or a matching Saree or a Dress. This colour is not great for a casual look, for casual look i feel we can try brighter colours like Orange, Pinks and Reds (i prefer Matte).

Tips : 

1. If you do want to try this colour with your casuals, apply one coat spread it well through out your lips, take a tissue and blot it out. The tissue helps you get rid of the gloss and moisture, and leaves you with a matte earthy pink colour on your lips :)
2. Since the lipstick is buttery, if you are applying more then a coat, i suggest you apply lip liner to prevent the colour from bleeding out.

 The lipstick is decently priced and a very unique colour, moreover part of it's proceeding go on for a good cause. So why wait go get one, look pretty and get blessed too.... How cool is that!!

Reviewing Chambor Powder Matte Rubis Rouge !!

Now don't we all love Red Lips... every girl wants those perfect red lips! Its is one colour that i believe every women has in her bag, if not u MUST have one! I personally have 3 Reds :) and this one is the fourth one, one can never have enough!!!

Now this is my first lipstick from Chambor.. and am glad to have found this colour and what do i say i am already in love with it. I have tried a lot of reds and my all time favourite being MAC RubyWoo, which is a universal favourite Red!! This Red is different, its not a bright red, its rather very subtle and has a dry matte finish.

 About the Lipstick: This is one of the very few Reds i have seen that will suit all skin types and any age group can pull off this colour. Usually alot of us hesitate to try Reds because of its bright and bold look, but this Red is not very bright. When i apply this lipstick i do not apply much make up, just kajol or eyeliner and am done, u dont need to do much because the colour is just so beautiful!!

Texture of the lipstick is smooth it glides well, though it is a matte lipstick it doesn't dry your lips, has hydrating elements. One swipe gives you pretty red lips (picture above), and two swipes can give you an intense bold look, again the look is subtle not at all bright and can be carried off by anyone!

The staying power is impressive, it can stay all day without smudging or fading away if your not eating anything.,but with eating and drinking too it can stay on for about 4-5 hrs, which is really good!

 

 I wear this colour very very frequently at Parties, on a Sunday Mall Day or Movie Night etc. This is a very pretty red and can be worn as daily wear too. I feel the shade will look nice on every skin tone, so don't be afraid of trying this..go get this one now and show off your Red Lips!!

Tips: While one swipe gives you a pretty red colour, for a bolder fuller look outline your lips with a red  lip liner and give it 2 coats and your sure to make heads turn and women will be curious to know the lip colour your wearing...

 

All the good reds i have liked or have bought before this are all on the higher side and slightly expensive, but this one is a very good red priced at Rs.595.0, i think its a good buy. Its very difficult to find good Reds at very reasonable prices, this one is totally worth it.

Though i kept telling myself i have a lot of lipsticks, I kept swatching on and on and finally ended up buying 5 colors.... The lipstick is creamy to apply and spreads well, it has a feather light finish and the shimmer shows up barely, it sets but not to a dry finish but glides on smoothly on to your lips.

Though it promises to be on from 9 to 5, well it doesn't last that long, it doesn't survive after a meal.. 2 coats can stay on till for a couple of hours!

Pink Bureau is one of my all time favourites from this range... i am little pinky so i love everything in PINK!!

I personally feel this shade will look fab on almost every skin tone! Its a lovely warm Pink and the shimmer is hardly noticeable. This shade can add the glow to your face and can be worn as a daily wear... I personally recommend everyone should have this Pink in ur kitty... :)

Roseate Motive is another amazing colour from this range, its a blend of Coral and Red with slight brown undertones. The texture is smooth and so is the pigmentation. It gives a subtle look to your face which looks nice! Must have if you love corals and reds.

Saffron Gossip is a pretty looking orange shade. While a lot of reviews say that this shade is only for fair skin tones.. i think its wearable by the dusky skin tones too... because of  its a bright orange colour a lot of us might hesitate to try it on. If  you are little bit on the dusky side or darker side try this shade with whites and floral prints this colours tends to look subtle and more attractive with lighter colours. (while buying do try it on to see if it really suits your skin tone, so as to not regret buying it)

Toffee Nexus is a peaches nude color with brown undertones, very creamy and has dry matte finish.

It can be worn as a stain as well as full coverage lipstick. It gives a very natural look to your face. I personally wear this color very often and i love it.

Vermillion Fired is suppose to be RED but its a Coral shade..  and i feel it has a little bit of a pink too!! Some say it has dash of orange in the shade but i disagree its not orange at all. This shade gives a bright look on your face and can be worn by any skin tone. 

I recommend 2 coats for every shade of this range for a better exposure and stay!!

Priced at Rs.400.00 i feel its a very good buy and a must have. So go out there and get your shades now!!
