Hey!!

Reviewing today Colorbar DIVA Lipstick 'Dress To impress'!!

Whenever i go to the Mall, i make it a point to stop at the Makeup section and check a few Lipsticks, hoping to find a new shade and i always do!! Soo i found this Lip colour from one of my days... Its an old shade but new for me because i recently found it!
While i kept swatching different colours to search for my perfect shade, i came across this colour that i liked  and when i happened to check it's name it was 'Dress To Impress' .... What do i tell you i probably liked it's name more than its colour.. and i was obliged to buy... As i very firmly believe that one must always 'Dress To Impress!!! :)

About the Lipstick : This lipstick is a glossy (no shimmer) Mauve Pink, very creamy/buttery and smooth. It glides well gives you very good coverage in one swipe. Since its buttery the pigmentation is good the texture is very smooth and it moisturises the lips giving it a slightly glossy finish. This colour will look great on all skin types, but i think it will look better on fairer skin tones as the colour seems to appear a little darker and shows more on the fair skinned. So when your going to a party and have a alot of accessories and want to keep the make up light you can opt for this colour, it will be a Hit!!

The lasting power is great... when i first tried this lipstick i wasn't very sure it would last very long since it was very smooth and wasn't really settling on the lips like the Matte lipsticks do, but i was surprised when this one lasted even after a meal. Of course there was fading, but the fading gave my lips a pretty natural pink colour, it had faded evenly and left my lips smooth and supple. It lasts for a good 5 hrs and more.

This colour is wearable during the day and night! You can wear this colour at office or at parties. Its a very nice glossy mauvish pink, i think it'll go well with formals or a matching Saree or a Dress. This colour is not great for a casual look, for casual look i feel we can try brighter colours like Orange, Pinks and Reds (i prefer Matte).

Tips : 

1. If you do want to try this colour with your casuals, apply one coat spread it well through out your lips, take a tissue and blot it out. The tissue helps you get rid of the gloss and moisture, and leaves you with a matte earthy pink colour on your lips :)
2. Since the lipstick is buttery, if you are applying more then a coat, i suggest you apply lip liner to prevent the colour from bleeding out.

 The lipstick is decently priced and a very unique colour, moreover part of it's proceeding go on for a good cause. So why wait go get one, look pretty and get blessed too.... How cool is that!!
